  • IFRC DREF Operation MDRCD011 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Democratic Republic of Congo Red Cross respond to an ebola outbreak by:  raising community awareness on surveillance, prevention and case management; providing psychosocial support; transporting people suspected of being infected with ebola to case management facilities; disinfecting houses and belongings of people affected by ebola; and safely buring corpses of people suspected of having died due to ebola.

     

    IFRC DREF Operation MDRCD012 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Democratic Republic of Congo Red Cross assist refugees from the Central African Republic by:  providing blankets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, tarpaulins, buckets, jerry cans, and hygiene kits, constructing water wells and emergency latrines; promoting hygiene; and carrying out tracing of missing relatives to retore family links.
