Scope and Contents:
  • IFRC Emergency Appeal MDRAF001 requests donations of cash and in-kind for the Federation to support the Afghan Red Crescent Society provide people affected by floods with non-food relief items, tents and tarpaulins, safe water, curative and preventive health services, and hygiene promotion.

     

    IFRC DREF Operation MDRAL004 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Red Cross of Albania provide people affected by extreme winter weather with food, blankets, and hygiene kits.

     

    IFRC Emergency Appeal MDRAO005 requests donations of cash and in-kind for the Federation to support the Angola Red Cross Society respond to drought related food insecurity by:  distributing food, seeds, safe drinking water, and insecticide-treated mosquito nets; identifying children at risk of malnutrition and referring them to Ministry of Health therapeutic feeding centres; promoting disease prevention and hygiene; carrying out community based health and first aid activities; conducting social mobilization for vaccinations and malaria prevention; and building community resilience to respond to similar emergencies in future.

     

    IFRC DREF Operation MDRAZ003 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Azerbaijan Red Crescent provide people affected by an earthquake which struck on May 7, 2012 with food, rubber boots, hygiene kits, kitchen sets, mattresses, blankets, bedding sets, and towels.

     

    IFRC DREF Operation MDRBA007 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina provide people affected by extreme winter weather with food and blankets.

     

    IFRC Emergency Appeal MDRBD010 requests donations of cash and in-kind for the Federation to support the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society assist people affected by flash floods and landslides by:  providing cash grants for food, safe water, clothing, cooking utensils, tarpaulins, cash grants for transitional shelter needs, latrine materials, and mobile curative health care; installing shallow tube wells; constructing communal bathing and toilet facilities; promoting hygiene; and providing cash grants for livelihoods (capital / seeds / tools / skills training for women).  The National Society will also improve its disaster response capacity.

     

    IFRC DREF Operation MDRBD011 describes the allocation of money from the DREF to enable the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society to provide people affected by a tropical storm with tarpaulins, jerry cans, and cash grants for food.
