Scope and Contents:
  • Note:  The Federation adopted a four-year long term planning framework process for the period 2012 to 2015. The long term planning framework documents (LTPF) are in effect appeal documents and were posted on the International Federation's web site. This file contains the long term planning frameworks, mid-year reports, and annual reports describing actions taken during 2012.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAPS001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Palestine Red Crescent Society to:  strengthen the Society's disaster management, communication, and organizational capacities; promote disaster risk reduction; develop a coherent approach to extend community work to vulnerable areas of the Occupied Territories, East Jerusalem, and Gaza, and develop a specific humanitarian diplomacy agenda for these areas.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAPY001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Paraguayan Red Cross to:  strengthen the Society's disaster management and organizational capacities; disseminate the Fundamental Principles; strengthen community level risk reduction capacity; and revise the national health plan.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAARU002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Russian Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's organizational capacities; disseminate the Fundamental Principles; scale up work in the sphere of HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and harm reduction; enhance inter-generational programs, Club 25, youth and volunteering; improve legislation to develop the National Society's auxiliary role to public authorities; and, as a member of the IFRC Governing Board, facilitate regional inititatives among Russian speaking National Societies.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAASD001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Sudanese Red Crescent to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, disaster recovery, communications and organizational capacities; and strengthen the National Society's auxiliary role.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAASO001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Somali Red Crescent Society to:  strengthen the National Society's organizational capacity; establish country-wide Emergency Response Teams; establish a community disaster risk reduction programme; scale up preventive health, curative service, community based health and first aid programmes; scale up advocacy to reduce HIV and AIDS; scale up youth club activities; and promote the National Society's auxiliary role.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAASS001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the South Sudan Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's organizational capacity; develop Emergency Action Teams; and promote the National Society's auxiliary role through the adoption of the Red Cross law by the government.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAASV002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Salvadoran Red Cross Society to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster management and organizational capacities; implement mechanisms, tools, and networks to improve knowledge exchange, peer support and experience exchange within the humanitarian sector; strengthen its auxiliary role in the promotion and development of international disaster response law (IDRL); develop safer, healthier and more resilient communities; and raise awareness about inequality and marginalization and its consequences in urban risk, migration, violence and access to basic resources.

     

    TPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAASY001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to:  provide displaced Iraqis and Syrians in needwith affordable basic health care through clinics and outreach services; and strengthen the National Society's organizational capacity.
