Scope and Contents:
  • Note:  The Federation adopted a four-year long term planning framework process for the period 2012 to 2015. The long term planning framework documents (LTPF) are in effect appeal documents and were posted on the International Federation's web site. This file contains the long term planning frameworks, mid-year reports, and annual reports describing actions taken during 2012.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAMV001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Maldivian Red Crescent to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster response and organizational capacities; conduct emergency response preparedness drills in schools; establish a national first aid standardization board; develop more health activities in communities, and raise public awareness of dengue fever and chikungunya; and increase communities' capacities in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAANI002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Nicaraguan Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, disaster recovery, and organizational capacities; strengthen its role as auxiliary to government; implement a community based risk management programme; create a network of volunteers in road safety; and participate in national forums on risk reduction management and climate change.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAANP001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Nepal Red Cross Society to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, disaster recovery, and organizational capacities; expand its activities in the areas of disease prevention, maternal, reproductive and child health, first aid, voluntary non-remunerated blood donation, disaster risk reduction, water and sanitation, and adaptation to climate change;and advocate for a favourable government policy and legal environment for humanitarian action.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAPE001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Peruvian Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster response and organizational capacities; and participate in the implementation of the National Agreement for Disaster Risk Management and the Law and Regulation for the National Disaster Risk Management System.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAPH001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Philippine Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, and organizational capacities; assist local communities and institutions to prepare for, mitigate and respond to disasters; increase the capacity of communities to respond to health and injury priorities during disasters, health emergencies and in normal times; and promote access to safer land by communities living in disaster prone areas.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAPK002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Pakistan Red Crescent Society to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, and organizational capacities; reconstruct public health, education and community buildings destroyed by earthquake; standardize health services across all National Society health facilities; standardize and facilitate accreditation of the National Society's first aid services; campaign to increase the pool of voluntary non-remunerated blood donors; deliver and sustain a scaled up HIV programme to reduce the spread of HIV; provide psychosocial interventions and establish a referral system; and conduct dissemination / awareness sessions on international disaster response law (IDRL).
