  • Note:  The Federation adopted a four-year long term planning framework process for the period 2012 to 2015. The long term planning framework documents (LTPF) are in effect appeal documents and were posted on the International Federation's web site. This file contains the long term planning frameworks, mid-year reports, and annual reports describing actions taken during 2012.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAADO001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Dominican Red Cross to:  assist in promoting Law 147 pertaining to risk management; strengthen the Dominican Red Cross' relationship with the Haitian Red Cross through implementation of the bi-national border plan between the two National Societies; strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, disaster recovery, and organizational capacities; and adopt a communications strategy that strengthens the National Society's corporate image and encourages partnerships with the media.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAEC001 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Ecuadoran Red Cross to:  promote the rights of individuals at risk of stigmatization and discrimination; strengthen the National Society's community based disaster preparedness and response capacities, and in particular its health in emergencies activities; develop a more comprehensive approach to risk management and community health; establish alliances with governmental and non-governmental organizations; strengthen capacities in and knowledge of international disaster response law (IDRL) within governmental and humanitarian partners; and develop the National Society's organizational capacity.  Note:  file is missing the Annual Report.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAER002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Red Cross Society of Eritrea to:  establish a nation-wide psychosocial support service for people affected by disasters; establish a community disaster risk reduction programme; develop climate change adaptation activities; scale up the National Society's health and care programming; strengthen the National Society's organizational capacity; and promote the National Society's auxiliary role.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAET002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Ethiopian Red Cross Society to:  improve disaster risk reduction mechanisms at the community level; restore sustainable livelihood of populations affected by disaster through recovery programmes; implement a community based health and first aid system; reduce prevalence/incidents of water, sanitation and hygiene related diseases; and strengthen the National Society's organizational and communications capacities.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAGE002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Georgia Red Cross to:  enhance knowledge and understanding of the Fundamental Principles and humanitarian values in schools; enhance knowledge and capacity in community based disaster preparedness at a community level; strengthen the National Society's organizational capacity; improve the health and social conditions of vulnerable older people and of tuberculosis patients; and reinforce the National Society's auxiliary role.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAGT002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Guatemalan Red Cross to:  focus on the study, dissemination and implementation of policies, strategies and regulations stemming from Movement statutory bodies, legally binding resolutions and international law and pertinent national laws; work with the public authorities to pass a law that would give the National Society oversight and operational powers to improve its programmes and services in normal times and in crises and disasters; position the National Society before the government as an auxiliary on humanitarian issues;  improve teh National Society's early response and recovery, and organizational capacities; reinforce the National Society's capacities to support communities to improve their resilience by helping people to be the most healthy possible and prevent or reduce risks; develop integrated community programmes that contribute to disaster and crisis risk reduction; conduct advocacy and humanitarian diplomacy; and consolidate and broaden the existing strategic alliances and develops new ones with the private sector and civil society organizations to avoid or reduce dependency on international cooperation.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAHN002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Honduran Red Cross to:  fulfil its auxiliary role by promoting the development of international disaster response law (IFRL) in national legislation; strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, and organizational capacities; assist people living with HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, lactating infants, and mothers of child-bearing age; and implement violence prevention programmes to improve the conditions of youth and teenagers at risk.

     

    LTPF 2012-2015 Appeal MAAID002 requests donations of cash to the Federation to support the Indonesian Red Cross to:  strengthen the National Society's disaster preparedness, disaster response, communications, and organizational capacities; implement community based risk reduction and disaster mitigation activities; develop a voluntary non-remunerated blood donor programme; and enable communities to prevent and manage water borne diseases.
